MON STATE – The Ye-Thanbyuzayat section of the No. 8 Pyidaungsu Highway connecting Mawlamyein, Ye and Dawei, is said to have been taken control by the revolutionary forces and the coalition military column of KNLA, S.O.F and PDF are inspecting the vehicles for security daily, as said by one of the responsible people from S.O.F.
From June 18 to June 22, the vehicles were inspected along the Pyidaungsu Highway. On the morning of June 22, the coalition military column by KNLA, S.O.F and Ye Ogre (Ye Balu) Force inspected the vehicles on the highway for regional control and safety.
Four people related to the atrocious junta council were caught while during such inspections on the Pyidaungsu Highway on June 18 and they are reportedly being detained, awaiting prosecution.
On June 10, KNLA Battalion 27 announced that the vehicles running along the No. 8 Pyidaungsu Highway are not allowed to carry any personnel and items related to junta forces including ammunition and junta reinforcement troops. Since then, daily inspections have been carried out on the highway.
