KACHIN STATE – K-PDF reported today that a military council soldier who was captured during a battle near Shwe Ngyein Chan village in Shwegu Township was given medical treatment and released after paying travel expenses.
It is said that when the Kachin Independence Army (KIA) and the K-PDF battalion seized the junta council’s Infantry Battalion number 10 station hill, Nyi Nyi Aung, a private from the 10th IB camp, was captured as a wounded soldier.
KIA battalion No. 5 provided travel expenses to the above-mentioned private and released him on the 13th of this month.
“We were able to capture the hill of the IB (10) station camp on December 1 last year. Eight weapons and ammunition were captured. On the side of the K-PDF battalion, three people’s soldiers were injured and the condition is not serious,” said Myo Hla K-PDF.
Myo Hla K-PDF initially announced that at least four soldiers of the junta council were killed in the battle to seize the junta council camp near Shwe Ngyein Chan village in Shwegu township, Kachin State.
KIA and K-PDF have jointly occupied the Light Infantry Battalion number (387) army base in Pak Khon Ram and Kyaukgyi village, where the Infantry Battalion (77) is stationed, including the Infantry Battalion (10) military council camp hill.
