BAGO DIVISION – The KNU center informed that more than 500 residents of three villages are fleeing due to counter-attacks after a military council’s small mountain base camp in Shwekyin Township was captured.
Last Friday, KNU and allied forces seized the small mountain base of the military council’s Light Infantry Battalion 351 in Shwekyin Township.
KNU said that after the camp was captured, the military council started to attack the surrounding villages with heavy weapons and also carried out airstrikes with a jet fighter.
It has been reported that 572 residents of Kyar Chaung, Htee Khay Lot and Ouk Chin Kyaw Village by the Sittaung River are fleeing.
