SAGAING DIVISION – A junta military intelligence officer, a policeman and a junta subordinate conscripting people for the junta council in Shwebo were attacked, killing all three and a weapon was confiscated, according to an official from Shwebo Crocodile (Bo. Migyaung) team.
Junta military intelligence officer San Naing, Police Sergeant Aung Phyo Min and Thant Zin Oo, a person working for the junta council were reportedly shot dead by revolutionary forces at Style 1 Teashop in Shwebo around 6 a.m. on April 1.
“All three died. Aung Phyo Min was a police dog. San Naing was part of the military intelligence. Thant Zin Oo was from Zeephyukone Village in western Shwebo Township. He changed his name to Saw Thant Zin Oo and came to the city and collected information (for the junta council) since the military coup. The weapon confiscated was from Thant Zin Oo. The other two didn’t have weapons. Those three were involved in abducting and forcibly conscripting young people in the city. In addition, Thant Zin Oo would always join the junta columns conducting offensives in the rural area. We also want to say that the revolutionary forces will punish and eliminate those including administration officers, hundred households chiefs and Pyu Saw Htee militants who continue to collude with the junta council,” said the official from Shwebo Crocodile (Bo. Migyaung) team.
The three who were killed have been abducting and forcibly conscripting young people while Thant Zin Oo is known to have accompanied the junta columns as guides and relayed information on the movement of revolutionary forces to the junta council. Revolutionary forces were known to have seized a SIG 9 mm pistol and several documents.
The attack was carried out by Shwebo Township People’s Security Force and Shwebo Crocodile and they were able to return unharmed. The official from Shwebo Crocodile added that they will take action on members of the terrorist junta council that terrorize and bully the civilians.
