MYANMAR – Local people reported that the terrorist junta council abducted and murdered five people from Shartaw Village in Shwebo Township and also torched and destroyed over 400 houses.
Terrorist junta forces raided Shartaw Village on April 6, abducted and murdered five residents of the village: Mr. Win Khin, Mr. Ohn Maung, Mr. Naung Naung Tun, Ms. Nyunt Yin and Mr Soe Aung and burned down over 400 houses in the village.
“Junta dogs (junta forces) raided and torched Shartaw Village. From what we know so far, they also murdered five civilians. Two elders over 80 and 90 who couldn’t run were burned to death while the other three were shot dead. The junta dogs even killed a stroke patient and threw the body into the lake. The houses that survived their arson can be counted on one hand. There were over 450 houses in the village,” said a local resident.
In addition, the terrorist junta forces also torched Shwelan Village in Pauk Township, Magway division on April 5, destroying over 20 houses and the entire village had to flee.
“The junta dogs set fire to and destroyed Shwelan Village in Pauk Township. There were only around 100 houses in the village and over 20 of them were razed to the ground. The residents also are fleeing for safety,” said a local resident.
