INDONESIA – All ASEAN leaders condemned the attack on the humanitarian aid convoy in Shan State and asked the military junta council to follow the peace plan.
Such criticism and demand came out at the ASEAN Summit held in Indonesia on May 10.
“We condemn the attack. The perpetrators must be held accountable,” ASEAN leaders said in a statement.
ASEAN leaders expressed their deep concern about the ongoing violence in Myanmar and called for an end to all violence, to stop forceful solutions, to provide an environment in which humanitarian assistance can be provided safely and on time. It calls for an inclusive dialogue.
