MYANMAR – PDF alliances raided the junta camp at Yar Do Village, located at the Shan-Karen-Karenni Border, on Tuesday morning (July 11).
That camp had been under strict inspection and had issues of corruption, with at least 30 troops present. “Defence forces raided it at around 5 a.m., but the details couldn’t be confirmed,” said a Kayan resident.
Yar Do camp is situated on the Taungoo-Leiktho-Yar Do-Loikaw Road, and the junta council has been reinforcing the infantry battalions from Taungoo to Karenni by using that road.
“Yar Do is the western entrance of Loikaw and also the reinforcement route for junta forces. It’s true that the battle occurred, but I don’t know the details,” said an official of Karenni Nationalities Defence Force (KNDF).
Kayan Region Leftist Youths – KRLY warned the public against using the Taungoo-Loikaw Road as PDF alliances have been attacking Yar Do camp.
