KARENNI STATE: Four self-helped schools of the internally displaced people running in the eastern region of Hpruso township, Karenni state were said to have been closed for a month because of the heavy artillery shelling by the junta’s forces but they cannot be reopened until now.
The four schools have been temporarily closed since last October.
A school teacher said, “They are closed and on the southern region, four self-helped schools are also closed.”
There are battles between the junta’s forces, which deploying military actions along the Demoso- Hpruso Union Road, and the coalition of the revolutionary forces, broke out in the region. The junta’s forces are shelling the heavy artillery targeting to the villages and the internally displaced camps so the whole region is under security threat.
“They are recklessly shelling the heavy artillery, which is difficult to predict. Sometimes the members of the junta’s council are shelling the heavy artillery because of the silence in the region,” as said by a local resident of Hpruso.
The closed four self-helped schools are known as one high school, one post primary school and two primary schools.
