BORDER OF KARENI AND SHAN STATE – According to some local security sources and people helping refugees, the La Ei Hospital in Pekon township, on the border of Karenni State and Shan State, was bombed today (March 22nd) at 10:00 a.m., by the Junta Council, and the hospital was damaged.
“There is an airstrike alert at La Ei Hospital, so no patients are allowed. The hospital is only guarded. Two hospital guards were hit, one of them seriously,” said a person helping the evacuees.
“It’s only been a few minutes since it was dropped, the plane came and bombardment is so loud,” a person helping refugees wrote on Facebook with a photo of the damaged hospital. Damage was a lot of damage at the hospital.
According to further information received, at 10:10 in the morning, the Junta Council Army dropped four bombs on the 16-bed Lai Public Hospital, two bombs at a time. Some people near the hospital were injured. 1007 MOBYE PDF reported that some hospital buildings and a hospital car were damaged.
Because it was afraid of being bombed to the hospital by a junta council plane, it had already stopped admitting patients. It is also stated that it is a place where some hospital equipment is stored.
A person who helps refugees in Pekon said, “However, the hospital is being used as a camp for refugees from Mobye, Pekon, Dimosso, and Loikaw. I have heard that two people have lost their lives. It has not been confirmed yet.”
La Ei Public Hospital is a hospital that was built by the state plan by the elected civilian government.
The revolutionary forces have also warned the military council to pay special attention to the air raids of the junta council due to the current fighting in Loikaw, Phahsong in Karenni State, and Pekon and Ping Long.
