MYANMAR – The United Nations in Myanmar issued a statement on October 10, expressing deep concern over the aerial bombardment of the IDP camp near Laiza, where the KIA headquarters are located.
According to media reports, the terrorist army of the junta council began nonstop bombing around 11:30 p.m. on October 9, killing more than thirty innocent civilians and injuring approximately one hundred.
However, in its statement, the United Nations Office in Myanmar failed to name the military junta responsible for the bombardment.
A statement from the United Nations Office in Myanmar stated that an IDP camp near Laiza had been attacked with bomb shelling, and the UN in Myanmar is deeply concerned that civilians, including women and children, were killed and injured during this incident. It is also stated that IDP camps are places of refuge, and civilians, regardless of their location, should never be a military target.
