MYANMAR – It was reported on Friday (July 14) that a businessman donated 2100 lakhs of Myanmar kyats for the People’s Defence Force (PDF) battalions and ethnic armed resistance forces.
It is also known that the businessman made the donation anonymously and donated to the PDF and joint forces fighting against the Military Council under the pseudonym of “The Suppressor of the Evils”.
Although it is not mentioned on which day the donation was made and the name of the regiment, region or operation it will be used in, areas that have been declared to increase military momentum were shown in the report.
Similarly, on July 13, Director Ko Pauk informed that a donor to the “The Calling Voice of Yoma” campaign for the PDF’s Salmon Operation had donated more than 30,000 US dollars, worth over 900 lakhs of Myanmar kyats.
In addition, for the People’s Defence Force – Mandalay (MDY-PDF), a donor named Shwe Bodhi, donated 12,345 US dollars (about 400 lakhs of Myanmar Kyats) for the painting “Pyi Taw Win” painted by the 88th Students Generation Leader Min Ko Naing for the fund of Pyi Taw Win campaign.
NUG’s treasury bonds and housing sales have also seen donations of hundreds of thousands of dollars from some businessmen, said some of those who helped sell treasury bonds and EOD housing.
