SHAN STATE – The Myanmar National Democratic Alliance Army (MNDAA) issued an official notice on December 30, informing the local civilians and foreigners in Laukkai war zone of Kokang Region, northern Shan State to quickly depart and return home via official routes.
During the battles that started in the second week of December, the terrorist junta council has carried out indiscriminate air and artillery strikes on the civilian houses without a care for the safety of civilians, resulting in a large number of civilian casualties.
The military administration committee for Shan State Special Region 1, Myanmar stated that the remnants of the terrorist junta forces and the Kokang leader puppets to the junta council in Laukkai area are still stubbornly sticking to their defences.
As such, the committee warned that battles and aerial bomb attacks can happen in Laukkai at a moment’s notice, posing risks to the safety of the civilians who continue to reside in the city.
In order to defend the well-being of the people, the committee urged the civilians in the special region to immediately move to safety.
In addition, the foreigners staying in the region were also advised to inform the relative department of the MNDAA and return home via official routes.
MNDAA also confirmed that it will continue to arrest those involved in cybercrimes (Zhàpiàn) alongside China.
MNDAA warned the owners of cybercrime businesses who continue to stay in the region to not entertain the idea that they won’t be arrested and urged them to admit to their crimes and return to their home country.
