SHAN STATE – The Three Brotherhood Alliance said that thousands of junta troops including six brigadier generals surrendering in Laukkai Township, northern Shan State is the beginning of the last days of fascist junta leader Min Aung Hlaing.
On January 5, the 71st day of Operation 1027, thousands of junta council troops from the Regional Operations Command (Laukkai) and nearby battalions surrendered to the revolutionary forces and the entire Kokang (Laukkai) region is said to be rid of the junta council and this event is referred to as the beginning of the end of the military dictatorship.
Among the junta troops that surrendered on January 5 were also soldiers from battalions across Myanmar that came to reinforce the Regional Operations Command (Laukkai) and there were 228 officers including six brigadier generals and 1,895 soldiers of other ranks. In addition, there were also 1,601 family members of junta forces. They were reportedly sent to safety and destination of their choosing.
Following this, 266 junta troops from Nan Ting Ming hill camp, widely known as point 2022, also surrendered and as a result, the number of junta troops that surrendered reached 2,389. The Three Brotherhood Alliance said that this is the start of the last days of fascist junta leader Min Aung Hlaing.
Myanmar National Democratic Alliance Army (MNDAA) stated that the people consider the junta forces who surrender admirable and informed that anyone who wish to surrender in any region of Myanmar can contact them.
