YANGON DIVISION – According to an eyewitness, the junta council soldiers beat and abducted two youths at the corner of Parami Road and Bayint Naung Road in Hlaing Township on Friday (June 9) at around 8:25 a.m.
Two junta Double Cabs drove at full speed with their front lights on, assaulting and abducting the two youths who were riding bicycles.
The eyewitness stated, “We couldn’t understand why they abducted the youths. They chased them at full speed with their front lights on. If the youths hadn’t stopped, they might have been hit by cars. The junta troops beat and abducted them. The whole incident lasted less than a minute. They abducted them and drove away.”
Currently, junta soldiers have established outposts and are conducting patrols in Yangon. They are inspecting cars, seizing motorcycles, and both the junta troops and police, including traffic police, have been threatening and extorting money in some townships.
