YANGON DIVISION – According to the locals, bomb explosions broke out in Hlaingthaya township, Yangon division. As a result, two people were said to have been killed.
At around 7:44 p.m. on March 1, an explosion broke out at the top of the no. 3 road, in Hlaingthaya township and due to the explosion, two people were said to have been killed.
A civilian who witnessed the incident mentioned that “a bomb blasted at the top of the no. 3 road. Two people were killed on the spot. One was under the bicycle and the other one with intestine opened injuries was near the drain.”
The bombs blasted continuously in the eastern part of Hlaingthaya township and Hlaingthaya township Shwe Lin Ban industrial zone during 7:33 p.m. and 7:44 p.m.
Moreover, at around 7:44 p.m. on March 1, a bomb blasted in Yankin township, a bomb blasted in South Okkalapa township. At around 7:30 p.m. on March 1, a bomb blasted in North Dagon Myo Thit. At around 7:44 p.m. bombs blasted continuously in Pauktawwa in Insein township and the other places.
A local from Insein mentioned that “a bomb blasted in Insein Aung San school gate. Due to the explosion, one car was burnt down. Shortly after hearing the sound of explosion three times, the car was burnt down. We also heard the sound from the ambulances.”
It has been reported that the bombs also blasted in Shwe Pyi Thar, Mayangon, Insein and Hlaingthaya townships, after 8 p.m. It has been reported that the junta council blocked Hlaingthaya township and conducted investigation.
The explosions broke out in Yangon all day long despite the junta council tightened the security.
