SAGAING DIVISION – According to the Wetlet Township People’s Strike Leading Committee, households in a village that had been burned down by the military council troops in Wetlet Township, Shwe Bo District were provided with food on June 13.
There are more than 600 people in 115 households. 2 kg of rice, a bottle of 0.8kg of oil, 1.68kg of salt, 0.4 kg of artificial meat, a bag of vermicelli, a mat, 2kg of Pea, and a basket were donated to each household.
“We are supporting the people who are fleeing the fire because they are facing difficulties for food. Our group is one with the people. We have to help those because the people are in trouble. Please donate because other people affected by the fire are also having difficulties,” said Mr.Lwin Moe Thant, a member of the public strike leadership committee of Wetlet Township.
Wetlet Township Public Strike Leading Committee members marched in the strike line, preaching the strike, and donating to the iInternally displaced people, both themselves and on behalf of other donors, said Mr.Lwin Moe Thant.
From mid of March 2022 to the beginning of June 2023, more than 60 villages in Wetlet Township were burned down by terrorist junta council forces, causing the residents to flee. At present, about 4,000 people are living in the forests and safe areas.
