SAGAING DIVISION – Residents said that the junta council troops attacked Paukkan village in the southern part of Wetlet Township with two attack helicopters on August 13 at noon.
Locals said that two helicopters fired around the village clinic in Paukkan village for 15 minutes from 3:50 p.m. to 4:10 p.m. Two local residents were reportedly injured.
“They shot 5 times in about 15 minutes. They shot at the areas around the clinic. Out of the two injured, one was seriously injured. They have not confirmed that the injured persons are male or female,” said a resident of Wetlet.
The clinic that was hit by the airstrike is a rural clinic where CDM nurses and doctors are providing medical treatment. Currently the extent of damage and the details of the casualties were not yet known.
On August 11, Taline village in Sagaing Township was bombed by junta aircraft, killing an 8-month-old child and a 23-year-old mother, a woman over 60 years old who were war refugees from Sint Kai village, and injuring six others.
