MANDALAY DIVISION – The Wundwin Township Revolution Force (WTRF) detonated a landmine targeting a car carrying junta members between Nat Nan and Hta Naung Kone Village, Wundwin Township, Meikhtila District, on April 5.
The car, returning from Pintale Region to Wundwin Town, was carrying Win Kyaw Thu, Police Chief, and his team. It detonated around 7 p.m., killing four junta police officers, including Win Kyaw Thu.
“The column consisted of four vehicles, but only one returned, carrying the Township Chief. The cars and the junta police were reduced to pieces. The Police Chief and four other officers were killed,” reported an official from WTRF.
During the detonation, the comrades used only one high-explosive mine, and the bodies of the deceased junta police were retrieved by ambulance.
On March 19, Lat To Maung Pu, the administrator of Thee Kone Village in Wundwin Township, was shot five times in the chest on his way from the Township Administrator’s Office, according to WTRF.
