KAREN STATE – The junta council’s planes returned without carrying the junta troops as the KNU didn’t release the soldiers who surrendered, according to Thailand Media.
An ATR 72-600 flight arrived in Maesot on Sunday (April 8) night and waited for the junta troops who will be released by KNU until 1 a.m. But, no one arrived at the junta flight, and it flew back to Yangon.
Thailand Media said that ATR 72-600 couldn’t carry any junta troops, and the junta scheduled flights might be cancelled to save the junta soldiers on April 8 and 9.
From April 7 to April 9, the junta council requested the Thailand Government to carry the junta soldiers from Mae Sot to Yangon by MNA ATR 72-600.
Recently, 617 junta troops and their family members from Thingan Nyi Naung Strategic Camp surrendered to KNU coalition forces.
