MON STATE: The junta’s forces fired heavy artillery into the Kazai village, Durin Seik village tract, Thatin township, Mon state, which caused a woman to get wounded, as said by the Karen Information Source.
Around 7 p.m. on June 4, Junta’s Infantry Unit (24) Kyone Mein, the Artillery Unit (402) Innshae, the Light Infantry Unit (206) Durin Seik, the Artillery Unit (502) Myothit and the Artillery Unit (606) Myothit were said to have fired the heavy artillery and caused the civilian’s casualty, as said by the Information Source.
The Done Thami checkpoint in Durin Seik village in the region was attacked by the mass forces of the coalition of the Karen National Liberation Army (KNLA) on June 1, which caused the heavy casualty of the junta’s forces.
After the attack, the junta forces were said to have started recklessly firing heavy artillery in the region.
As the junta’s council was having the battles around the country including the regions in Karen National Union (KNU), they targeted the civilians, by firing the heavy artillery and launching the airstrike, frequently resulting in the casualties of the civilians.
