SHAN STATE – Eleven members of the junta police force from Heho Airport in Taunggyi Township, including a police lieutenant, who were sent to Loikaw were reportedly captured by the junta council after they left behind the weapons and fled back to Heho.
The eleven junta policemen including Police Lieutenant Soe Moe Lwin fled back to Heho Airport from Loikaw on November 11 and were arrested for leaving behind their weapons, reported a Non-CDM employee at the airport.
“They ran back here from Loikaw. They were arrested for leaving their weapons behind. They ran away because they were losing the battle and left behind the weapons because they were scared of getting captured by PDF. They might have actually been in better hands if they had surrendered to the PDF,” shared a source who has access to the junta police force.
Police Lieutenant Soe Moe Lwin was transferred to Loikaw Airport as an officer in charge and had taken part in the battles in Loikaw but fled along with ten other policemen without their weapons after losing terribly, according to a member of the junta police force from Heho.
He is also reportedly married to fellow Police Lieutenant Phyu Phyu Win, currently serving the junta council in Taunggyi.
