MYANMAR – The National League for Democracy (NLD) announced that the terrorist junta council has intentionally and repeatedly targeted and destroyed the NLD offices in the country for a total of 164 times.
“The offices of the NLD were repeatedly vandalised, the Yangon headquarters was vandalised three times, State and Division offices 15 times, District offices six times, Township offices 112 times, ward and village offices 28 times, for a total of 164 times,” NLD stated.
Moreover, it is said that there were 144 NLD representatives to the Hluttaw (MP) and 1,905 party members among the 17,277 people lawlessly detained by the terrorist junta council with 354 underaged children and 2,058 women currently still detained.
NLD also pointed out that the junta council is unhinged in committing horrendous crimes including the torture and murder of innocent civilians, brutally killing people in many ways including burning people to death, torching and destroying civilian houses.
It is also stated that as of January 15, 2024, the junta regime has lawlessly tortured and murdered 4,251 people including two NLD MP, 100 NLD party members and 314 underaged children.
The terrorist junta council is reported to have torched and destroyed 64,141 houses, repeatedly destroying several regions, during 1,614 counts of arson. The houses belonging to three NLD MP were also intentionally targeted and set on fire.
In addition, there have been a total of 107 airstrikes by the junta council targeting civilians, during which 408 civilians were killed and 155 were injured.
