KAREN STATE- The Central Karen National Union (KNU) announced on Friday (February 23) that a rubber farm was destroyed by the terrorist war council’s weapons in Belin township, Kawthulay Administrative Region, Nyaunglaypin District, and seven homes of war refugees were destroyed in a forest fire.
Due to the offensive of the terrorist military council troops, the villagers deserted Yan Myo Aung village (Mu Town). At around 11:00 a.m. on February 21, their homes were reportedly destroyed by a spreading forest fire, and seven of the houses were burnt down.
In addition, in DoothaDu (Thatone) District, Belin Township, a large weapon shell fired by the junta’s Battalion 208 exploded at Wintatpan Village (locally called Nohphopu area) at around 1:00 p.m. on February 19 and the 5-acre rubber farm owned by a local was reportedly destroyed by fire, according to the KNU (central).
