SHAN STATE – Junta council soldiers fired over 40 artillery shells at Hsihseng, where there were no battles taking place, destroying some civilians’ houses, according to a statement from PNLA.
The junta council launched an offensive in Hsihseng, Pa’O Nation, and clashes intensified in the north of Hsihseng from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday, March 4.
PNLA strongly resisted the junta column, resulting in the junta soldiers retreating with massive casualties. Consequently, the junta council fired over 40 heavy artillery shells at Hsihseng Town, where no battles were occurring, destroying some civilians’ houses.
On the same day, junta council troops from Hopong Town fired over 20 heavy artillery shells at the Mae Nel Hill Region.
The junta council has been using massive weapons, including airstrikes and heavy artillery shells, to destroy the Pa’O Region and has firmly committed war crimes, according to PNLA’s statement.
