SAGAING DIVISION – The military court of the terrorist junta council in Indaw Township, Sagaing Division passed the death sentence on four civilians, reported an official from Indaw Revolution – IR.
The four civilians were sentenced to death on August 18 at the terrorist junta court and their identities have been revealed as Mr. Zaw Myo Tun (aka) Tony, a passenger bus driver running between Myitkyina and Monywa; Mr. Kyaw Swar Win (aka) Kyaw Swar from Tigyaing Township; Ms. Myint Myint Aye (aka) Aye Aye from Indaw; and Mr. Aung Kyaw Kyaw Moe (aka) Lah Lah from Yaydwingone Ward.
“The outsiders were abducted while traveling. There was even a passenger bus driver running between Myitkyina and Monywa. We haven’t heard of them being transferred elsewhere so far. Even if they were, they would probably be sent to Katha Prison. This is the first time for death sentence (in Indaw). They must have done so to mainly scare the people because Indaw is at the border connected to Katha, Tigyaing and Banmauk and is also close to the KIA (Kachin Independence Army),” said the official of Indaw Revolution – IR.
The passenger bus driver Mr. Zaw Myo Tun (aka) Tony was detained at Indaw checkpoint in April while the other three were all detained in Indaw around June.
All four were charged by the terrorist junta regime under section 49(a) and 52(a) of the terrorism act and were sentenced to death on August 18, marking the first death penalty delivered in Indaw Township.
The junta terrorists are abducting civilians in Indaw Township almost daily and there have been at least ten sentenced to life. The junta checkpoints in Indaw and its entrance points are also said to be checking even the photos and messages on the phones and Indaw Revolution – IR cautioned travellers to take extra heed.
