SAGAING DIVISION – An official from the Indaw Revolution(IR) told the media that a civilian was killed when a junta jet bombed the intersection of Naba Road, near Sawmaw Chaung area, in Indaw Township without having any clash.
On November 19 at 2:30 p.m., terrorist junta troops dropped six bombs from a jet fighter and opened machine gunfire toward the Naba Intersection (Sawmaw Chaung) where there was no ongoing fight. Due to the junta’s arbitrary opening of fire, a civilian was reportedly killed and another one was injured.
“There was no ongoing battle. The jet fighters dropped bombs for no apparent reason. A shop was burned down. A citizen traveling on a motorcycle was injured and a trishaw driver was killed,” said an official of the Indaw Revolution.
According to locals, the terrorist army deliberately launched the air attack on the residential area, and heavy weapons were also reportedly fired from Indaw Junta tactical hill.
“Sawmaw Chaung region is like a separate area, it’s neither a village nor a quarter. There are shops, stalls and workshops (like night-market) as it is situated on Mandalay-Myitkyina Main Road. The aerial attack was deliberately targeted at civilains,” said the Indaw Revolution official.
