UNITED STATES OF AMERICA – The WAY Musical Film, shown in Maryland, USA, on September 24 raised $19,071 for the Spring Revolution, according to the event organizers.
During the event, the bidding and sales of items such as a jacket and a bag signed by director Lynn Lynn, actor Russell, actresses Chit Thu Wai and Myat Noe Aye, the clothes and shoes worn during filming, the original song lyrics (in handwriting), and USB sticks reportedly raised US$ 5,250.
It is reported that the ticket sales, donations, bidding, and merchandise sales from the event altogether raised $19,071.
Organizers of the event stated that the donation would help people fleeing the war during the Spring Revolution.
The film will continue to be shown in other states of the USA.
The Way musical film, the art of various artists and professionals in the acting and music field that already won awards at film festivals around the world, was shot (amidst restrictions of equipment and budgets) with only two mobile phones.
