RAKHINE – Junta council soldiers stationed at Kazu Kine Taw Hein Hill fired heavy artillery shells at Dar Lat Chaung old village on Friday (December 1) at around 4 p.m., wounding one woman in Ann Township.
The shell dropped and exploded in a garden, injuring Ms. Htay Htay, 40. She sustained injuries to her arm and hip and is currently receiving medical treatment.
On November 28, in Ann Township, a child was killed in the afternoon because he stepped on a landmine planted by the junta council, and his mother was also wounded.
On November 13 in the morning, fighting in Rakhine resumed, and junta forces from Rathedaung, Sittwe, Pauk Taw, Buthedaung, Maung Daw, Kyauktaw, Minbya, Myay Pone, Mrauk-U, and Ponnakyun Townships fired heavy artillery shells daily.
