MYANMAR – The National Unity Consultative Council (NUCC) and the National Unity Government (NUG) published the proposals and suggestions to implement according to the Federal Democracy Charter, as decided at the People’s Conference on April 9.
It was stated that in order to strengthen political leadership alongside the developments in the revolution and for better policy adjustment, NUCC and NUG are to be reviewed and amended according to the Federal Democracy Charter and report at the third People’s Conference, and NUCC is to quickly initiate discussions with revolutionary forces to achieve the common political pact.
It was also mentioned that NUCC is to lead the discussions with political and revolutionary forces who have yet to join the NUCC to establish the common political pact, to hold a clear and concise discussion on the Form of State, to decide on the principles the establishment of new divisions and states including the Bamar State and to form procedures and guidelines for better adjustment, coordination and communication between NUCC and NUG according to the Federal Democracy Charter.
In addition, it is said that there are to be increased and improved town hall meetings, press conferences and public relations works for better communication, reporting of information and accountability between the public and the political leaders of NUCC and NUG.
