AUSTRALIA – The National Unity Government Union Minister of Human Rights Mr. Aung Myo Min, who is temporarily in Australia, was awarded the Gold Medal for Human Rights – 2023 by The Sydney Peace Foundation on June 2 for his outstanding contributions to human rights.
The Gold Medal for Human Rights – 2023, which was awarded for human rights efforts, was presented to Union Minister Aung Myo Min by Professor Rodney Smith, Acting Dean of the Sydney Peace Foundation.
The gold medal award ceremony was attended by Union Minister Aung Myo Min and the National Unity Government’s representative for Australia, Dr. Tun Aung Shwe, Myanmar nationals in Sydney, ethnic forces and Myanmar Democracy activists.
At the ceremony, Union Minister Aung Myo Min addressed on the topic, “Is Peace & Democracy Possible in Myanmar?” and answered the questions by attendees of the ceremony.
