KARENNI STATE – The Karenni Nationalities Defense Force’s unmanned aerial vehicle (KNDF UAV) department announced that the El Doepawmee Campaign, for the production of Fixed-Wing UAVs, has only received 51.4% of the target as of July 22.
KNDF urges all parties to join the campaign before July 31, the deadline of the campaign, which is only nine days away.
The KNDF UAV Department announced that “It’s been 25 days since the KNDF and CRPH-OFP started the campaign. Within these 25 days, $76,922 is received.”
Among the donations received, Myanmar locals contributed the most, which is 44 percent of total funds, followed second by the donors from the United States. KNDF calls for donors from other countries to provide additional support.
The El Dopawmee campaign aims to raise 150,000 U.S. dollars (approximately four hundred and fifty million MMK) for the production of 20 private drones, and will end on July 31.
For the campaign, one drone is set as fifteen million MMK, and those who donate one or two drones individually or as a group will have their names signed on the drones.
Currently, KNDF announced that some drones have been produced in cooperation with domestic and foreign experts and also expressed thanks to fundraisers, artists, influencers, and donors who participated in the campaign.
