BAGO DIVISION – Save The Trees Team stated that their team, Oktwin Town Lovers philanthropic team and local villagers cooperated in planting over 200 plants in Si Son Kone Village, Oktwin Township, Taungoo District, Bago Division.
On Sunday (June 25) at around 8 a.m., the members of the teams and over 40 villagers reportedly planted over 200 plants such as Padauk, Starflower, Sein Pan, Pyinkado (Ironwood of Burma), Teak, Ingyin, White Teak, Flowery Cassia and Pyinma.
“We intended the civilians to value the forest and plants for conserving the nature environment. We planted this partly as support to provide a green environment in the surroundings of the village. We will donate and plant more plants,” Mr. Kyaw Thuya from Save The Trees Team said.
The planted trees will be taken care of and conserved by the local villagers and the planting program will be continued in other villages within Oktwin Township once a week.
Moreover, Save The Trees Nature Environment Conservation Team was known to plant in the public areas since 2019 and has also worked for rescues and philanthropies under the name of Save The Trees Rescue Team.
