BAGO DIVISION – The administrative couple of Yay Ta and Kyay Pin In Villages in Oakpho Township were killed on Thursday, December 28, at 5:30 a.m., according to an official from the Thayarwaddy District PDF.
They were Than Naing, the Pyu Saw Htee leader who handled weapons, and his wife, Khin Htay Myint. They were shot dead at their house in Kyay Pin In Village. The attack was carried out by guerrilla comrades from Company 4 of Thayarwaddy District Battalion (3802).
Comrades confiscated two grenades, one Energa bomb, one Energa ammunition, six 5.56 bullets, and one communication device but did not find Than Naing’s pistol. They regularly provided information about revolutionary comrades and PDF camps, established gambling stations, extorted money, and oppressed civilians with the support of junta troops.
“When they came to Yay Ta and Kyay Pin In Villages at 5:20 p.m., they saw us waiting and ran back to their house in Kyay Pin In Village. That’s why we chased them and shot them dead at their house. They were too terrible and were the core of Kyaw Gyi, the Pyu Saw Htee leader. They oppressed civilians with weapons, but we couldn’t find his weapon,” said an official.
