YANGON DIVISION – Local residents said that 2 bombs exploded near the compound of the Terrorist Junta Council in front of the Aung Mingala Highway complex yesterday night.
On April 6th, at around 9:15 p.m., 2 bombs blasted near the military compound facing the Aung Mingala Express terminal. 2 explosions occurred only 3 minutes apart. After the bomb blast, the junta council army blocked off the roads surrounding the Aung Mingala Express terminal compound and the entrance to the Yeway Cemetery.
“Yesterday at 9:15 p.m., a bomb went off near the military compound facing the Aung Mingala highway complex. We could hear the sound of the bomb exploding loudly. The 2 bombs went off about 3 minutes apart. After the bomb went off, there were 2 Double Cabs at the top of the entrance to the Yeway Cemetery. There were all kinds of people in civilian clothes, the military, the police, and all departments. They checked all the people passing by walking/biking and their mobile phones,” said a local resident.
Also, after the bomb went off last night, members of the junta council blocked and inspected all the cars and people from the area before the highway car park up to Kanthaya Park on North Okkapa Road.
Similarly, in the north Dagon township, after two explosions occurred last night, local residents said that they heard the sound of ambulances.
“In north Dagon, we heard two loud explosions. Then we also heard the sound of ambulances. We heard it at past 9 p.m. last night,” explained a local resident.
