MYANMAR – Mr. Aung Myo Min, the Union Minister of Human Rights for the National Unity Government (NUG), met Mr. Eamon Gilmore, the European Union Special Representative for Human Rights at Brussels, Belgium on September 26 and exchanged opinions on the human rights situation in Myanmar and the works done by the National Unity Government.
During the meeting, they discussed the situation of humanitarian assistance regarding the Spring Revolution in Myanmar, analysis of human rights and workers’ rights as well as the efforts of the United Nations and ASEAN on the Myanmar political issues.
The NUG Union Minister also met with Mr. Bernard Guetta, the vice chair of the European Parliament Human Rights Committee and discussed the efforts of the National Unity Government for human rights, administration, judicial system and international relations for the more effective implementation of the European Parliament’s resolutions on Myanmar as well as to take effective action on the Myanmar junta regime for its International crimes.
