AYEYARWADDY DIVISION – The junta council abducted three residents and sealed shut one house in Ayeyarwaddy Division during the first week of July, according to the police community.
The three abducted people are said to be a resident of Kyangin, a resident of Nyaungdon and a resident of Myanaung.
“One was detained for going out past curfew time, two for posting political contents online. Another one who had warrant released for him was not detained as he turned himself in and signed a letter of guarantee,” said a source close to the junta police.
A resident of Ouksu Village, Maezali Dala Village Tract in Nyaungdon who was charged with sections 50 (j) and 52 (a) of the Terrorism Act reportedly surrendered himself and was released after signing a guarantee.
Meanwhile, Mr. Win Maung, around 60 years of age, from Zayarthatgyi Phayar Road in Ward No. 6 of Myanaung Town and another yet to be identified person were abducted for charges of posting political contents online.
Another man was also abducted in Chaungthar, as proclaimed by the junta council in its newspapers.
