SAGAING DIVISION- According to an official of a motor vehicle association, Mahar Myaing Road, which was closed due to military tension, can be used today (August 26) from 8:00 a.m.
“Starting at 8 o’clock this morning, cars stuck on that road are allowed to leave. Right now, our cars are also coming out. I will arrive in the evening,” he said.
The locals said that Kale-Ye U (Mahar Myaing) Road has been closed for almost one month, and due to the closure of the road, the flow of goods in Kale City and some townships in Chin State has been interrupted, and commodity prices and gasoline prices have risen.
Before the coup, Kale-Ganggaw, Kale-Monywa (Yakyi Street), and Kale-Ye U (Mahar Myaing Road) could be used for the goods to flow to the Kale Township and Tintin, Tunezan, and Falan in the Northern part of Chin State. But after the coup, only Kale-Ye U (Mahar Myaing Road) can be used.
