MYANMAR – Since the coup in February 2021, there have been 3,620 innocent people killed by the terrorizing junta troops and 23,228 people arrested in Myanmar, according to the Assistance Association for Political Prisoners (AAPP).
This report is from February 1, 2021, to June 5, 2023, by AAPP, and the actual number of deaths may be higher.
Since the spring revolution, there have been 18,901 people arrested, and of these, 6,257 have been sentenced to imprisonment.
There are 115 people in prison who have been sentenced to death in relation to the revolution, and 42 have death sentences in absentia, for a total of 121 sentences in absentia. The number of sentences in absentia is 121, including 42 death sentences, and the total number of death sentences is 157.
Recently, 4,327 people have been released.
Conditions and details for leaders of civilian groups, activists, news reporters, staff participants in CDM, anyone detained or charged from different regions, and anyone who died in the Spring Revolution can be obtained from AAPP.
