MYANMAR – The terrorist junta council has shuffled some top generals and regional commanders, retiring Lieutenant Colonel Ko Ko Oo, the commander of Defense Industry 1, Rakhine Region Commander Major General Htin Latt Oo and Tanintharyi Region Commander Brigadier General Kyaw Swar Oo.
Lieutenant Colonel Ko Ko Oo (DSA 38) who became the commander of Defense Industry 1 from the position of Central Region Commander was retired for health reasons and Triangle Region Commander Major General Aung Khine Win (DSA 36) was appointed to that position with a promotion to Lieutenant Colonel.
Meanwhile, Major General Htin Latt Oo (DSA 35), the Commander for Rakhine State or Western Command who is losing to the Arakan Army (AA) was also retired and replaced by Division 77 Commander Brigadier General Kyaw Kyaw Han (DSA 41). Brigadier General Kyaw Kyaw Han is of Rakhine ethnic descent and a native of Rathaetaung. He became the youngest person to become a regional commander.
Similarly, Brigadier General Kyaw Swar Oo (OTS 22), the commander for Tanintharyi Division or Coastal Region was also removed from his position and replaced by the Commander of South East Command Brigadier General Soe Soe Min (DSA 39).
The vacant position of South East Command Commander was then given to the headmaster of Defense Service Academy, Brigadier General Kyaw Lin Maung (DSA 40).
