SAGAING DIVISION – The junta camp near Nagar Ma mountain, Kan Daung Village, Pale Township, Sagaing Division was attacked and there were casualties on both sides.
Bo. Tiger, the leader of Golden Stars Force said that they attacked the camp where 70 junta soldiers, police and Pyu Saw Htee militants were stationed from over 8 p.m. on May 10 to 2 a.m. on May 11.
It is said that after the 6-hour-long battle, there could be many casualties on the junta side but the specific detail is not known as the junta camp couldn’t be occupied.
The attack on the junta camp started as an attempt to occupy it but reportedly ended up being a mere confrontation after some mishaps with the RPG and the lack of bullets.
“We didn’t bring a large number of weapons when we attacked them. We attacked with mortars including 40 mm (mortars). They also fired back at us .We could approach close to 100 meters from the junta camp,” said Bo. Tiger.
There were ten injured from People’s Defence Force during the battle, including one who was seriously wounded.
This operation was the cooperation of Yinmabin Battalion 29, Daung Min People’s Defence Force, Golden Star force, YMB Drone force and other allied forces.
Kan Daung Police Station was also attacked many times from January 4 to 8 but as the junta council sent in aerial support, bombing with fighter jets every time the police station was about to be captured, the PDF couldn’t occupy the station and had to retreat.
