KARENNI STATE – About 100 people from Bawlakhe Town who have been fleeing war due to the clashes in this month, May, need help, said a person who is helping the displaced.
“Mainly elderly and children have to flee for safety. The roads are blocked and they have to make their own way in the forest”, said a person close to people fleeing war.
A clash occurred this month, and the local people in Bawlakhe heard of firing small arms and some heavy weapons fell in the city, resulted the elderly and children fleeing for safety.
Even though junta council convinced not to flee, local people have to flee as the heavy weapons fell in the city.
It is reported that there are many difficulties and need help for food, and other necessities since the people had fled urgently in the forest.
