KAREN STATE – The junta council has been constantly intercepting the communications between Karen National Liberation Army (KNLA) and People’s Defence Forces (PDF) in Karen State, submitting the logs in regular reports, and has managed to uncover the plans of the revolutionary forces to attack Kawkareik, according to a leaked internal report of the junta council.
An internal report was submitted regarding the communication logs intercepted on the No. 14446 wave at 6:05 p.m. on November 27. It turned out to be the plans to launch an offensive on Kawkareik Town.
As per the report, the communication logs between KNLA and PDF regarding the plans to attack Kawkareik, intercepted by the junta council and reported in detail to the higher-ups of the junta regime, are as follow:
“Now, the PDF forces from our Brigade 6 territory have all arrived at the south with a strength of 300 to initiate the plan. All preparations have been made in the north as well. Those who went to Kyainseikgyi are returning to Kawkareik. Our forces have taken places all around Kawkareik Town. Some staff from the municipal office, general administration office and district office are evacuating. A large number of junta battalions are deployed there. We will have to launch an offensive from the hill near the hospital this time.”
