MON STATE- Kyaik Hto township All Burma Students’ Democratic Front (ABSDF) official stated that a battle between the military junta council troops and Joint People’s Defense Forces on July 28 in Muppalin village resulted two comrades in injury.
“One of them was near the RPG and hit by junta council’s machine gun. The other one happened to by hit his own weapons back due to error,” said the official.
It is reported that Joint Revolutionary Forces attacked junta council checkpoint in Muppalin village on the east bank of the Sittaung River in the northern part of Kyaik Hto Township.
The ABSDF official said that there were more than 50 junta council soldiers and police at the checkpoint. Many casualties were expected but the details are not disclosed.
“That’s the gate we usually attack. It’s sure that the injured and the dead were carried away in two Honda Fits,” he said.
Since after the coup, there have been continuous battles between KNLA joint forces and the junta council in Karen State, Mon State and Bago Division.
The Joint Revolutionary Forces often attack junta council inspection in Muppalin village, and on June 1, Kyaikhto Revolution Force (KRF) announced that three members of junta council were killed during a drone attack at the gate.
