MON STATE – The terrorist junta soldiers launched mortar shells over Saung Naing Gyi Village in Kyaikhto Township, injuring a monk and destroying shrines and religious buildings, according to an official of the Kyaikhto Information Team.
The junta’s Artillery Battalion stationed at Thein Za Yat Town and the atrocious junta forces stationed at the intersection of Win Ka Law reportedly fired mortar shells on July 3, and they landed and exploded at Saung Naing Gyi Village in Kyaikhto Township, injuring a monk and destroying shrines and religious buildings.
“There was no battle. But the residents have to flee from their homes. They were running away not because of the junta’s offensive attacks but because of artillery attacks. Moreover, the junta’s command commander of South Eastern Command arrived at Light Infantry Battalion, 207 Thein Za Yat Town,” said the official of the Kyaikhto Information Team.
In addition, hearsay has spread among the people since the night of July 2 that the terrorist junta will carry out aerial bombings over the territory of Brigade 1 under the Karen National Liberation Army (KNLA) in Kyaikhto and Bilin Township, and the locals are afraid of it.
