KAREN STATE – Karen National Defence Organisation (KNDO) launched attacks for three consecutive days on the terrorist junta army which has been advancing and carrying out arson attacks in the villages in Kyondoe Township. Two junta army officers were killed and many others were wounded in the attacks, said an official of KNDO Battalion 6.
The junta column with the combined forces of fascist army battalion 546, pro-junta Border Guard forces (BGF) led by Mya Hlaing and Win Aung, and Democratic Karen Buddhist Army (DKBA) led by Bo Bi advanced into Kyondoe Township on April 24 and torched the civilian houses along the way.
The mentioned terrorist junta column was reportedly assaulted by KNDO Battalion 6, and Galon joint forces for three days from April 24 to 26 near Chauk Taing Village of Kyondoe Township, resulting in the death of a captain of junta army light battalion 546, a platoon commander of BGF, while many others including a sergeant were injured.
In the battle, the terrorist soldiers returned fire using heavy weapons and also conducted airstrikes. A revolutionary comarade fell honourably for the country, and another was wounded during the intense clash.
“Our KNDO attacked the junta combined column made up of the army, BGF and DKBA on April 26, from around 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. One BGF platoon commander was killed and many were injured. In the battle on April 24 and 25, one junta captain was killed and many were injured,” said the official from KNDO Battalion 6.
