SAGAING DIVISION – Despite heavy rains from the Cyclone Mocha, junta soldiers and Pyu Saw Htees raided villages on Sunday (May 14) at early morning, forcing over 4,000 civilians to flee.
The junta forces from Ye-U Township and Inn Pat Kwae Village, along with Pyu Saw Htees from Ywa Thit Kone, comprising around 50 members, raided villages, and over 4,000 residents from nine villages fled.
“Over 4,000 people from nearby nine villages fled when Cyclone Mocha started affecting them,” said the resident.
The junta council soldiers also recklessly fired heavy artillery shells at the villages and the places where the civilians were fleeing.
