SAGAING DIVISION – The Shwebo District Battalion 22 stated that six revolutionary soldiers were seriously injured due to the explosion of remaining mines during the retreat after conducting a mine attack on a junta convoy near the gas station at the exit of Khin U Town on Tuesday (June 13) afternoon and are in need of medical assistance.
“It happened this afternoon (June 13) as they were returning after carrying out a mine attack. The mines were attached to each other and hit the squadron. The injury is serious,” said the information officer of Shwebo District Battalion 22.
It is said that seven soldiers from Shwebo District Battalion 22 went and attacked the junta army group, that was burning, killing and robbing by looming to the villages in Khin U Region, on June 13 at 1 o’clock in the afternoon.
According to the battalion’s information officer, six PDF soldiers were injured in the mine accident while retreating after detonating a military vehicle.
“We need help from the people for six of our soldiers who had a mine accident while retreating after attacking the junta dogs’ car. We are requesting help from people in the country and abroad,” stated Battalion 22, detailing the incident as below in a post together with photos of the injured comrades.
“The dog column that came out of Mankyi Tong Village started to go west of Khin U. After learning that it will cross the tracks and head towards Kan Thit, seven soldiers from our battalion 22 attacked one of their light trucks near the gas station at the exit of Khin U. While retreating, the remaining mines accidentally went off and six comrades were seriously injured and are in critical condition. So, we are asking for help.”
