KACHIN STATE – It has been reported that KIA (Kachin Independence Army) forces managed to capture the junta council’s Chaung Wa military camp in Indawgyi region, Monghnyin township, Kachin state, in the morning of June 24.
A KIA news source mentioned that the revolutionary alliance forces under the lead of KIA managed to completely capture the junta council’s Chaung Wa military camp in the Indawgyi region, at around 5:30 a.m. on June 24. The alliance forces have continued performing area clearance operations. The number of the junta council casualties and the number of the confiscated ammunition are not released yet.
At around 8:40 p.m. on June 23, the KIA alliance forces managed to capture the junta council’s Nyaungpin military camp and confiscated numerous ammunition.
Similarly, at around 6:45 p.m. on June 23, the KIA alliance forces also captured the junta council’s Hwaylong military camp. It was known that around 40 junta council troops under the lead of Major Banyar San from the Light Infantry Battalion 111 (Wuntho) were stationed in Hwaylong military camp.
