MANDALAY DIVISION – Residents said that a bomb blast occurred near the Mandalay Mayor’s Pavilion of the junta council and that there were people injured.
Sources close to the city development council office said that, at about 10 o’clock in the morning on April 14 in Mandalay, nine men, two women and a child were injured when a bomb exploded at a motorcycle parking lot on the 71st Street between 27th and 28th Streets, near the central pavilion of the city hall office.
“It was near the central pavilion south of the moat. I heard two explosions,” said a resident of Mandalay.
On April 9, a mine exploded near the Mandalay Pavilion of the military council in Mandalay, but no one was injured.
The junta council army is also holding Thingyan Festival in Mandalay to make it appear that the country is peaceful and has built pavilions along the moat, Zaycho Market, Strand Road and Mingala Mandalay.
