AYEYARWADDY DIVISION -It has been reported from locals that there have been burglaries in houses of uptown wards in Pathein Township, Ayeyarwaddy division, at night times since July after military coup.
On August 1night, more than three houses from no.13 ward and no. 3 ward, Pathein Township were burglarized and properties stolen.
A local said that many places have been burglarized everyday and polices reports weren’t affected. So the thugs kept doing impudently.
“Although junta polices and soldiers patrolled inside the words, there were still burglaries and by groups,” he added.
The local said that there were robberies from pedestrians by motor bikes, and burglaries and thefts of houses but no culprit was arrested.
A local said that some burglaries were followed by stabbing with knives and they were afraid to go out at night times since then.
In Pathein Township, although junta polices and soldiers patrol everyday, they only aimed to abduct the revolutionary forces. So, many burglaries and thefts are increasing everyday and arresting the cases of gambling, necrotic drug sales and sales of counterfeit money are weakened.
